Venerini Academy Admissions Policy
Venerini Academy’s admission procedure supports the mission of the school in its recruitment practice by encouraging candidates who demonstrate the ability to benefit from its academic environment and to meet the expectations of a Christian community. Venerini Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, socio-economic status and national or ethnic origin.
As part of the admission process, an interview with the Admissions staff and a level appropriate placement exam are required. Previous school records, objective aptitude test results, recommendations, and a student profile should be submitted at the time of the interview. In admitting students, priority is given to the siblings of current students.
The registration process is ongoing at Venerini Academy. Applications may be downloaded on line or obtained by calling the Admission’s Office. Candidates and their families are encouraged to attend one of two Open Houses in November and January. Venerini Academy also encourages prospective students to visit the school while classes are in session. An appointment is required to tour the school or shadow at a specific grade level. Please contact the Admission’s Office to make arrangements. Since space in most grade levels is limited, we encourage new families to begin the Admission process at the beginning of the second semester. Transfer students will be on probation for one trimester. During that period, the student’s academic progress and ability to adapt to the rules and the culture of the Academy will be monitored.
Pre-registration generally runs through February.
